Practical Experience Requirement
1. Information
All students must complete a minimum of 600 hours
of practical work before graduation. For details, please refer to the
2008-2009
Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering Calendar, chapter 7, page 101
Work completed prior to first
year will be considered, only if a student is in fourth year and has
not yet completed the 600 hours. Students may not claim
work completed as part of their fourth-year thesis. The number of hours
credited to a student for a specific experience may be less than the
total hours completed, if the work does not fully meet the experience
requirements. A list of accumulated hours of practical experience
credited to each student will be maintained by the Undergraduate
Office. An updated list will be posted annually in October outside of
the Undergraduate Office as well as MC 134.
2. Practical Experience Form
This form must be signed by you and your
supervisor. Please attach your employer's business card to the
form, if one is available.
To claim hours you must submit the completed form to the Undergraduate
Office (RS 214D) immediately after finishing each work experience.
