Graduate Programs
The Department of Mechanical and Industrial
Engineering offers four graduate degree programs:
General university regulations are found at the School of Graduate Studies
website. Topics include fees, academic
calendar, and grading
policies. For more detailed regulations governing each of our
graduate programs, please click on the appropriate link below.

M.A.Sc. and Ph.D. : These
are both full-time, research-oriented programs. Financial support in the form of
fellowships, research assistantships, and teaching assistantships is
available for both Canadian residents, and for visitors studying under
a student visa.

M.Eng. : This program is
not research-oriented, but rather targeted at students trying to
improve their technical abilities. The program requires the completion
of 10 graduate courses (or seven courses plus a project), either on a
full-time or part-time basis.

Collaborative Program Opportunities
are available in conjunction with the above three degree programs.

Industrial Master's Program in Design and
Manufacturing (ADMI) : This part-time program is offered
collaboratively by several Ontario universities. It is targeted at
practicing engineers with some industrial experience. It is
normally available only to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of
Canada.
