Research Activities
Specializing in the analysis of
experimentally measured turbulent flows, he is developing analytical
models based on organized structures in steady and nonsteady flows. He
is working with Prof. J. Wallace investigating turbulent flow in Spark
Ignition engines with Laser Doppler Velocimetry. Collaborative
experimental work is also being done with Particle Image Velocimetry
(PIV) investigating fibre slurries in high turbulence environments with
Prof. D.C.S. Kuhn. Additional work is being performed with PIV in
engine models. This work has included the development of improved PIV
and PTV algorithms
He is also the Associate Chair, High School
Liaison (Mechanical and Industrial Engineering) and an Associate
Director in the Pulp
and Paper Centre, University of Toronto.
