Jason Bazylak

Bio
During his undergraduate studies, Lecturer Bazylak was active in the
promotion
of the engineering profession and served as a mentor for young
aboriginal
students. After working for a time as a manufacturing engineer in the
telecommunication industry, Lecturer Bazylak joined the University of
Victoria's Design Engineering Office.
At the University of Victoria, Lecturer Bazylak mentored student design
teams in
a Sustainable Energy Systems Design course, developed the Design
Engineering
Challenge Series for students, and designed and implemented a subsidy
program
for employers hiring engineering co-op students into sustainable energy
system
design-related roles. He also worked on a program that supplied faculty
and
instructors with the resources to develop modules to increase the design
content in existing courses.
Lecturer Bazylak now brings his engineering, education, and design
experience to
his new role at the University of Toronto where he will assist with the
Engineering Strategies and Practices (ESP) course and other
design-related
activities.
